Welcome to bed and breakfast Villa delle Vacanze

A graceful bed and breakfast, "Villa delle Vacanze", was realized in Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, a citadel located at the foot of Mount Etna, swayed by the soo beautiful town of Taormina and renowned for her splendid sea which is already blue flag clean sea.

The small hill on which B&B rises can be defined as an ideal point for tourist movements: from here, it takes only five minutes to go to the seaside and twenty minutes to Mount Etna. Taormina is about 7 km away from Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, that is also provided with an highway income which makes it possible to arrive in short time to Acireale, fascinating citizen for its baroque style but also for history and culture. It has to be remembered the carnival of Acireale, famous in all the island for its masked wagons and blots some to them infiorate.

Coming down towards the coast, it can be possible to visite Acitrezza, famous country for its faraglioni. According to the greek mythology narrated by Omero in the "Odyssey", faraglioni were the enormous masses hurled from Polifemo against Ulysses' ship when he landed here. Acitrezza is also renowned for its typical plates of fish and its cakies, like "paste di mandorla", "cannoli siciliani" and "cassata siciliana".
Continuing from Acitrezza, you arrive at Catania, rich city of history and culture, putting in prominence from its eighteenth-century style and Castello Ursino.

Near Catania, we found Caltagirone, a country famous for its typical ceramic products and for the cork's working. Above all, Caltagirone has to be visitated during christmas days because of its wonderful holy cribs.
On the coast but towards Messina there are sea-zones of national beauty and reputation, like "Isola Bella" and "Letojanni".

However, if all this is not enough, there is Fiumefreddo di Sicilia itself, where it is possibile to visite the splendid nature reserve, a button hole of WWF, where "Papyrus" still grows luxuriant, while it is already in danger of extinction in other places.
